One week right side facioplegia, after went thru non-TCM doctor acupuncture for 5 sessions with electric apparatus, her symptoms went worse with severe facial swelling and pain, transferring to our clinic for help.
In fact, the standard treatment for facioplegia, less needles, distal end points, no electric apparatus are three rules in one week as acute stage.
After we did first acupuncture, her facial expression came relax and pain reduce.

After 10 sessions, pain gone, the right eye can totally close, the face much better than first time visit.
Facioplegia, as well named Bell’s palsy, in western explanation, was infected by virus (HSV-1) when people in low immune system situation. In TCM aspect, there are different types of facioplegia, also related with fatigue and insomnia. However, there are 3 stages for acupuncture treatment , acute stage(in 1~2weeks), recovering stage(2weeks to 1 month), after effect stage(after one month), with different therapeutic methods.

Acupuncture for Adhesive capsulitis / frozen shoulder/ shoulder pain

Adhesive capsulitis ( frozen shoulder) Shoulder pain , limited movement. With insomnia, hands& feet numbness, lower back pain, vertical, we diagnosed that chronic fatigue cause the should pain.  After 5 sessions of acupuncture, the shoulder pain reduce more than 80%, the arm could bend & lift easily, numbness & back pain gone, sleep good( no need sleeping pills as before), could close eyes stand with balance( before can't stand closing eyes).
